La serie DS8000-R identifica oscilloscopi digitali di fascia medio-alta di dimensioni compatte progettati sulla base del chip ASIC (dove RIGOL ne possiede i diritti di proprietà intellettuale) e sulla piattaforma tecnica UltraVision II anch'essa sviluppata da RIGOL. Il design di questi strumenti è compatto , sottile.
Sono strumenti integrabili in piu' quantità nei sistemi di collaudo , sono facilmente installabili a rack e sono utilizzabili in remoto per soddisfare i requisiti sempre piu' importanti di una completa automazione industriale. La serie prevede una larghezza di banda analogica fino a 2 GHz, supporta l'attivazione sincrona multi-dispositivo che consente l'estensione fino a 512 canali.
L'oscilloscopio della serie DS8000-R fornisce un'ottima soluzione per soddisfare i requisiti di velocità medio-alta , per integrare piu' strumenti in un unico sistema , per consentire la sincronizzazione di acquisizione dati multicanale.
